The fate of the Parthenon (Elgin) Marbles has been controversial for over 200 years.  On January 29, 2018 four (unbiased) members of the  UBC Debate Society, Aaron John, Arth Gupta, Reid Marcus, and Archie Stapleton. will debate the pros and cons of this contentious issue.   To set the scene Hector Williams will give a short overview of the carvings and their significance within Greek culture.  This is certain to result in a lively discussion.
